How can you build trust and respect in your niche market community?
To me you build trust and respect in any market, company, or community with actions. In my speaking engagements I ask the audience this question: Would you make the following pledge to your client or anyone you deal with? I will ALWAYS be truthful I will ALWAYS be prepared I will ALWAYS follow through I will ALWAYS keep my promises I will ALWAYS admit my mistakes I will ALWAYS give my best effort I will ALWAYS look for alternatives I will ALWAYS be the one you can count on I will ALWAYS listen and learn before I react I will ALWAYS accept responsibility for my actions I will ALWAYS keep trying until I find the right solution I will ALWAYS lookout for what is BEST for you. If you want to build trust and respect "Live" by this list.

How can you manage requests for follow-up coaching beyond your speaking engagement?
Each speaking engagement is tailored to my clients, involving extensive interaction before the speech. This often leads to requests for hands-on programs with smaller groups, which I approach cautiously due to their time-consuming nature. Before accepting a follow-up program, I review notes from the initial engagement, avoiding difficult clients. If they were challenging for a speech, a smaller program would be even harder. I seek easy-to-work-with (transparent) companies. I manage my calendar - open dates aren't always open; time to prepare is crucial. Without ample preparation, I risk delivering a subpar program, jeopardizing my reputation. My reputation is paramount, so I am the sole decision-maker in accepting any program.

What are the top Presentation Skills to develop?
Quit presenting and start sharing. People love stories they can relate to … so relax and tell them a story with meaning and conviction. People also love to laugh, so collect short, humorous stories you can weave in with your message. Don’t tell jokes because if they don’t laugh at your jokes, you will slowly lose your audience. But if they don’t laugh at, what you think to be a funny story, then it was just a story, so no harm is done to your presentation. Confidence is key. You cannot over prepare … so, know your material, backwards, sideways, up-side down. Personally, I like to make any speech I give like a roller-coaster ride where they have no idea where they are going next but they are in for one hell-of-a-ride.

How can you inspire action with your Thought Leadership speeches?
What is my audience really thinking? What is bothering, annoying or frustrating them? What barriers are in their way that are hindering them from performing their job efficiently? Before delivering a speech, I interview several employees within their organization, so I may get a first-hand view as to what is going on in the company. It is amazing how some of them will open up to me. I make my speech about them, for them, to help them. “WIIFT” is my motto - What’s In It for Them. When they see how much research and effort I have done to find out about them, they begin to open up to any suggestions I make. People don’t care how much you know until they find out how much you care. When you relate to them, you can then help to inspire them.

Success in business is depicted by a rising line on a financial chart; the higher that line rises, the greater the success. In his new book, ‘Raise Your Line,’ business and performance expert, Robert Stevenson, expands on that simple concept, telling his readers that all personal and business decisions should be based on the eventual outcome of making their profit line and personal success line, rise.
This book is filled with information to help employees, business owners, leaders, and managers who are looking for better ways to move forward and progress towards a more successful future. Mr. Stevenson explains to readers that they need to start thinking of their life and business as a flat line, a line that stays flat, unless they do something to make it rise. In this book, he walks readers, step by step, through how to improve their business performance, leadership skills, and reach their career goals.
Mr. Stevenson gives countless practical and thought provoking insights on how to succeed in this highly competitive business environment. Throughout his book, he emphasizes points which are extremely important to success, by placing them in a box entitled “LINE RAISER” (there are over 100 of them in the book). So, by simply scanning through the pages, the reader will easily find countless ways to improve. Not only does he identify and explain the things readers should work on improving, he then tells them how.
